Quantity Surveyor (Project Control & Cost Management)

Eudora & Aegle Management Consulting, on behalf of our client is recruiting for the position of an organized Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs relating to our ongoing architectural and construction projects. Your primary objective is tominimize project costs, enhance value for money, and ensure that all budgetary and legal requirements are met.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial cost analyses and feasibility studies for new developments.
- Prepare comprehensive BOQs, material schedules, and labour estimates based on architectural drawings.
- Maintain and update the project budget, highlighting potential overruns before they occur.
- Assist in the selection of subcontractors by evaluating tenders and conducting price negotiations.
- Manage the financial aspects of construction contracts, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms.
- Perform regular on-site measurements to verify completed work and certify payments for contractors and vendors.
- Assess, document, and negotiate the cost of any changes to the original design or site conditions.
- Verify that delivered materials match the quantities and specifications ordered.
- Prepare and agree on final accounts at the completion of project phases.
- Provide detailed monthly cost-value reconciliations (CVR) and cash flow forecasts to the Senior Architect.
- Coordinate with the site-based Junior Architect and MEP consultants to ensure financial and technical alignment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., NIQS or RICS) is a significant advantage.
- 3–5 years of experience in construction cost management, preferably with a background in luxury residential or large-scale retail projects.
- Must be willing and ready to travel
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Cato, or other specialised QS software (e.g., Bluebeam or WinQS).
- Expert ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
- Must possess a professional certification
- Exceptional professional ethics and the ability to manage large project budgets independently.
