📐 WE’RE HIRING: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

📍 Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring robust cost control, commercial discipline, and financial integrity throughout the construction of a landmark international-standard healthcare facility.

You will:

• Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and estimates from pre-construction through project close-out

• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow, ensuring alignment with approved financial limits

• Measure, value, and certify works executed by contractors and subcontractors

• Review and assess variations, claims, extensions of time, and final accounts

• Support contract administration in line with contract conditions (FIDIC or similar)

• Track commitments, expenditures, and cost-to-complete projections

• Provide accurate commercial reports, cost dashboards, and variance analyses to senior management

• Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Finance, and Procurement teams to maintain cost certainty and value for money

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline

• 10+ years relevant experience on large-scale construction projects

• Strong experience on hospital, high-rise, or complex infrastructure projects is highly preferred

• Solid knowledge of construction contracts, measurement standards, and cost control best practices

• Proficiency in measurement tools, Excel-based cost systems, ERP platforms, and project management software

• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies with commercial insight

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills

• Experience working with international consultants or mixed expatriate/local teams is an advantage
