Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor to manage all cost-related aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost planning, budgeting, contract administration, and financial control to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining required quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets
• Review, analyze, and evaluate contractors’ and suppliers’ quotations to ensure value for money
• Prepare and certify interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Conduct site measurements and valuations of completed works
• Support procurement activities and contract administration processes
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors on cost-related matters
• Prepare periodic cost reports, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts
• Identify cost risks and provide recommendations for cost optimization
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, financial policies, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• BSc or HND (Upper Credit) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience in the construction industry and interior finishing materials
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team

Preferred Skills

• Experience in both building and infrastructure projects
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with cost management software is an added advantage
