Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for civil construction projects.
• Manage project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site measurements and valuations of work completed.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare payment certificates.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate cost planning.
• Assist in procurement processes and contract administration.
• Identify and advise on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Prepare interim and final project accounts.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure financial control of projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and construction standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within a construction or civil engineering company.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control principles.
• Proficiency in BOQ preparation and construction cost estimation.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and standard forms of measurement.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (an advantage), and relevant QS software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
