Job summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor (Civil Engineering) for our client in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for civil construction projects.
- Manage project budgets and monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site measurements and valuations of work completed.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare payment certificates.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate cost planning.
- Assist in procurement processes and contract administration.
- Identify and advise on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Prepare interim and final project accounts.
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure financial control of projects.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and construction standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within a construction or civil engineering company.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost control principles.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation and construction cost estimation.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and standard forms of measurement.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (an advantage), and relevant QS software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
