Job summary
A Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. The role ensures that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ).
- Monitor project costs and track variations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis.
- Prepare tender and contract documents.
- Evaluate and compare contractor bids.
- Manage procurement of materials and subcontractors.
- Assess and certify interim payment applications.
- Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes.
- Prepare final accounts and cost reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., NIQS, RICS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 2–5+ years of relevant construction experience (depending on level).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, CostX, MS Excel).
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings and contract documents.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
