Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cash-flow forecasts for construction projects.
- Measure and value construction works, materials, variations, and completed work.
- Monitor project expenditure and ensure costs remain within approved budgets.
- Assist with procurement, tendering, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
- Prepare, review, and manage contracts, payment applications, and valuations.
- Identify cost risks and recommend effective cost-control and value-engineering measures.
- Maintain accurate cost records and prepare financial reports for project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a B.Tech in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Relevant professional certificate or membership is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of construction costs, BOQ contracts, and measurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
