Job summary
A reputable real estate development company in Lekki, Lagos is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Quantity Surveyor to join its team. The successful candidate will manage the cost and commercial aspects of construction projects from start to completion.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and project budgets.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure value for money.
- Prepare, analyze, and evaluate tender documents and contractor submissions to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Assess contractor valuations and manage interim payments.
- Manage variations, claims, and final accounts in line with contract terms.
- Provide accurate cost advice, financial reports, and forecasts to management.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and site teams.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Support effective procurement and cost planning strategies across projects.
- Minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience in quantity surveying and construction
- Proven experience working on real estate and building projects
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple construction projects
- Strong cost management, budgeting, and financial control skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant quantity surveying software
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and contract administration
- Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills
- BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying
- MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (added advantage)
- NIQS membership or registration (added advantage)
