Role Description The Quality Control Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Utako, responsible for ensuring that all custom-made dresses meet Style Wright’s quality standards before they reach clients. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting materials and finished garments, verifying measurements and construction details, and checking embellishments, stitching, and fit for consistency and durability. The role involves documenting quality checks, identifying defects or deviations, and collaborating with design and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes. The specialist will maintain quality records, support internal audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product reliability and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance, with experience applying these in a production or fashion environment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Management, including setting quality standards, monitoring performance, and supporting continuous improvement.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and be able to apply these principles to garment production workflows.
- Candidates should possess experience in Quality Auditing, including conducting inspections, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions.
- Relevant experience in apparel or textile manufacturing, with a strong eye for detail and garment construction knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, patterns, and measurements, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic computer tools for reporting and record-keeping.
- Secondary or post-secondary education in fashion, textiles, industrial production, or a related field is beneficial; prior quality-focused experience in a manufacturing setting is highly valued.
