The quality control officer is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by Seal Group meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. The role involves conducting inspections and tests.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor production processes to identify quality issues and deviations from approved procedures.
  • Conduct routine quality tests and measurements using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Document inspection results, test data, and non-conformance reports accurately and timely.
  • Identify root causes of quality defects and work with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards, where applicable).
  • Participate in internal audits and assist during external audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, materials, and equipment to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
  • Ensure defective or non-conforming products are properly identified, segregated, and reported.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement and and inventory teams to maintain consistent quality across operations.
  • Provide quality-related training and guidance to production staff when required.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of an HND in engineering, industrial technology, quality management, or any related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control tools, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards and quality management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic quality documentation systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
