Role Overview

The Quality Assurance (QA) Software Tester is responsible for ensuring that all software products

delivered meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, performance, and reliability. The QA

Tester will design and execute test cases, identify defects, collaborate closely with developers and

product managers, and ensure that all releases meet established quality benchmarks before

deployment.

1. Test Planning & Design

• Analyze product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test

conditions.

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases.

• Contribute to defining quality standards and testing strategies for sprint cycles.

2. Manual & Automated Testing

• Perform manual testing across functional, regression, system, integration, usability, and user

acceptance levels.

• Execute automated test scripts (if applicable) and recommend areas for automation.

• Validate fixes and retest resolved issues.

3. Defect Identification & Reporting

• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, ClickUp, or Azure DevOps). • Work with developers to clarify issues, reproduce bugs, and verify solutions.

• Ensure timely communication of defects and risks to stakeholders.

4. Quality Assurance & Documentation

• Ensure completed features meet expected quality standards before release.

• Maintain clear documentation of test results, test coverage, and QA processes.

• Participate in continuous improvement of QA methodologies and best practices.

5. Collaboration & Agile Participation

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure shared

understanding of requirements.

• Advocate for the user by ensuring intuitive, stable, and consistent user experiences.
