At Mkobo, the Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the company’s products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems. The QA must be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical designs.
- Work closely with development teams to build testing strategies.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases (manual and automated).
- Set up and maintain test environments for different test scenarios.
- Perform UI and API automated testing using tools like Postman and Selenium.
- Report and document test outcomes using tools like Allure.
- Participate in UAT and raise/document defects.
- Plan and manage the overall quality assurance strategy and test execution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for QA processes.
- Participate in agile practices (e.g., Scrum ceremonies, sprint reviews).
- Identify performance issues and contribute to system optimization.
- Maintain strong collaboration with product development teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and software reliability.
Requirements:
- BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a QA Software Engineer
- Familiar with native Android and IOS development frameworks and strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Familiarity with different types of testing (functional regression, integration, etc.) and related techniques
- Know and understand the rules of creating a good API, how HTTP works, and how to create JSON/XML files.
- Proven work experience in the use of tools that are good for particular test tasks (Charles Postman, JMeter, etc.) and familiar with programming skills like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Must be experienced in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
