QA/QC Officer
Job summary
The QA/QC Officer is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, and identifying non-conformities.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform quality tests, measurements, and evaluations in accordance with approved specifications.
- Identify quality issues, non-conformities, and defects, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor production and operational processes to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product or service quality and support root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to improve quality performance.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and support audit readiness.
- Monitor calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment.
- Conduct quality awareness and training sessions for employees when required.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Minimum of an HND in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection, testing methods, and documentation procedures.
- Experience with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, or Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
