QA/QC Lab Analyst
Job summary
We are seeking a meticulous, analytical, and quality-driven QA/QC Laboratory Analyst to join our Quality Assurance and Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing and analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with company quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Carry out lab tests on all chemicals and mud samples when required
- Carry out a blending activity
- Handle all QAQC- related tasks, received and dispatched chemicals when
- needed.
- Representing the Company as a chief chemist
- Support the inventory and operations team when required
- Conduct physical and chemical analyses of raw materials, in-process products, and finished oilfield chemical products.
- Verify that all products conform to approved specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and laboratory test reports.
- Investigate product non-conformities and participate in root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) where necessary.
- Laboratory Equipment Management
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, worksheets, registers, and electronic records. Ensure proper sample identification, traceability, and record retention. Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and technical documentation.
- Assist in research and development activities for new drilling fluid and oilfield chemical formulations.
- Conduct laboratory risk assessments and participate in safety meetings. Comply with all company HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and client specifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven years of experience in a QA/QC laboratory or the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control principles.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), ISO 9001, ISO 17025, HACCP, or related quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory documentation systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
