QA/QC Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and ensure alignment with project specifications, industry standards, and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and equipment.
• Perform testing and measurement of materials and components to verify durability and performance.
• Review drawings and project plans to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related challenges.
• Document and report non-conformities, deficiencies, and deviations, ensuring prompt corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate subcontractors and suppliers for compliance with quality requirements.
• Provide training and technical guidance to site teams on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date records and reports, including inspection logs, test results, and compliance certificates.
• Coordinate field testing, inspection, and certification of works in accordance with project and contractual requirements.
• Manage QA/QC documentation such as NCRs, inspection requests, calibration records, and material approvals.
• Ensure timely closure of NCRs and adherence to corrective actions.
• Stay informed on industry standards (ISO, ASTM, BS), new technologies, and best practices.
• Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement across all site activities.

Requirements:

• Sound understanding of QA/QC standards and systems (ISO, ASTM, BS, etc.).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and precision in quality checks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA/QC documentation tools.
