We are seeking a responsible, experienced and professional QA Civil Engineer in our reputable company, who will monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality inspections on civil works including earthworks, concrete works, reinforcement, structural works, masonry, and finishing.
  • Review and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures.
  • Identify quality issues, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Verify that construction materials meet approved specifications before use.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, test records, and daily/weekly quality reports.
  • Participate in site meetings and provide quality-related recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies, engineering standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Promote continuous improvement and quality awareness across project teams.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in QA/QC on civil construction project sites.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures, and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Membership of professional bodies and COREN registration or progress toward registration will be an added advantage.


Remuneration: NGN 400 - 450k
