QA Engineer – Ride-Hailing Platform

Role Overview:

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our growing product & engineering team on 3 monthly contractual bases subject to extension or may lead into permanent employment. You’ll help test and improve our passenger and driver apps, backend systems, and operational tools. This role is crucial to ensuring a seamless and secure experience for every rider and driver using the Simplaa platform. 

Key Responsibilities:

•      Design, execute, and document manual and automated tests for mobile apps (iOS and Android), web dashboards, and backend APIs.

•      Perform regression, smoke, and performance testing for feature releases.

•      Track bugs and usability issues using tools like JIRA.

•      Test ride-hailing workflows: bookings, driver-passenger matching, GPS tracking, fare calculations, and more.

•      Collaborate with developers, product managers, and operations to ensure features meet business needs.

•      Validate third-party integrations including payment gateways, SMS systems, and map services.

•      Suggest improvements to testing processes and CI/CD pipelines. 

Requirements:

•      2–5 years experience in software QA or testing.

•      Hands-on experience testing mobile apps (Android/iOS).

•      Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Appium, Postman, or JMeter.

•      Understanding of API testing, JSON, and RESTful architecture.

•      Experience with real-world mobile workflows (installations, logs, crash reports, cross-device testing).

•      Excellent communication and documentation skills. 

Nice to Have:

•      Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or any scripting language.

•      Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD pipelines.

•      Background in testing location-based services, real-time features, or fintech/payments.
