Purchaser

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Source quotations from multiple suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favourable purchasing terms.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other contractual conditions with suppliers.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procurement procedures.
• Ensure purchased goods and materials meet the required specifications, quality standards, and quantities.
• Monitor orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier details, quotations, invoices, and delivery documents.
• Inspect delivered items or coordinate inspections to verify quality and quantity.
• Work closely with the inventory, finance, operations, and warehouse teams to determine purchasing needs.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies when necessary to prevent shortages.
• Research market prices, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend suitable suppliers.
• Verify supplier invoices and delivery notes before forwarding them for payment processing.
• Resolve procurement-related issues, including delayed deliveries, incorrect orders, and defective goods.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, approved budgets, and ethical procurement standards.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports and provide updates to management on purchasing activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification of Diploma.
• 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
