The PR Manager at Zurfi Mining Ltd will lead the development and execution of strategic public relations and communication initiatives that enhance the company’s reputation, build strong stakeholder relationships, and support overall business objectives.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and corporate communication strategies.
  • Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, and press conferences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses, stakeholders, regulators, and community leaders.
  • Draft speeches, reports, newsletters, and other communication materials.
  • Oversee digital communication platforms and social media presence.
  • Organize corporate events, press briefings, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends.
  • Provide crisis communication support and reputation management.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels.
  • Support management with communication materials and presentations.
  • Travel monthly for corporate engagements, media relations activities, and site visits.


Requirements:

  • BSc Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • A Master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content creation abilities.
  • Proficiency in media relations, public speaking, and event management.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze media coverage.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, especially during crises.
  • Knowledge of the mining and real estate industries, including regulatory and stakeholder environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure especially during crisis situations. Ability to conduct research and analyze media coverage.
