Job summary
The Public Relations Executive will play a central role in developing and executing integrated PR strategies for a portfolio of clients. This is a senior-level individual contributor role requiring a strong blend of strategic thinking, creative storytelling, media intelligence, and client relationship management

Strategic PR Planning & Execution:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns aligned with client business objectives.
- Craft compelling narratives, messaging frameworks, and brand stories that resonate with target audiences.
- Lead the conceptualization and delivery of PR campaigns across traditional, digital, and emerging media channels.
Media Relations & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain a robust network of journalists, editors, influencers, and media contacts across relevant industries.
- Secure high-value media placements, interviews, features, and thought leadership opportunities for clients.
- Serve as a point of contact for media enquiries and manage media pitching and press release distribution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry bodies, and community leaders.
Content Development:
- Write and edit high-quality press releases, op-eds, speeches, briefing notes, media statements, and talking points.
- Oversee the creation of client-facing content, including reports, newsletters, case studies, and presentations.
- Ensure all content upholds brand voice, accuracy, and strategic messaging consistency.
Client Management:
- Manage day-to-day client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic advisor.
- Lead regular client meetings, prepare status reports, and deliver quarterly performance reviews.
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value to client accounts and grow retainer scope.
Crisis Communications:
- Support the development and execution of crisis communication plans and reputation management strategies.
- Provide real-time communications counsel during sensitive situations and reputational risks.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior PR officers and account assistants
- Collaborate across creative, digital, and strategy teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support new business pitches, proposal development, and agency marketing activities.
Monitoring, Measurement & Reporting:
- Track and analyze media coverage, PR metrics, and campaign performance using relevant monitoring tools.
- Prepare detailed monthly and campaign-specific reports with insights and recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and media landscape shifts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree/ Master's degree in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline — required.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. NIPR, CIPR, PRSA) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in public relations, ideally within a PR/communications agency setting.
- Proven track record of securing media coverage, managing client accounts, and executing multi-channel PR campaigns.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong media relations instincts with an active and verifiable media network.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Proficient in media monitoring tools (e.g. Meltwater, Cision, or similar platforms).
- High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- Crisis communication experience with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
