Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- As a Public Health Intern, he/she is responsible for:
- Assist with community health outreach and awareness programs.
- Support health education and sensitization activities.
- Assist in collecting and documenting basic health and community data.
- Participate in health promotion campaigns and public health events.
- Support the preparation of health education materials and presentations.
- Assist with registration and coordination during health screening programs.
- Engage with community members professionally and respectfully.
- Support public health research and basic data analysis.
- Prepare simple reports on assigned activities.
- Work with the public health team on assigned projects and initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow organizational guidelines.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Public Health, Community Health, Health Education, or a related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in community health and health promotion.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to learn and participate in field activities.
- Basic computer skills are an advantage.
- Previous volunteering or community outreach experience is an added advantage.
