Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Owerri for a Psychiatric Nurse. The Psychiatric Nurse will provide compassionate nursing care to individuals with mental health challenges, collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, and develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering medication, monitoring patient behavior, offering emotional support, and educating patients and their families about mental health. Additional responsibilities include maintaining patient records, managing crisis interventions, and adhering to established healthcare protocols and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Mental Health Nursing and Nursing practices for effective patient care and monitoring.
- Knowledge and experience in Mental Health Care and Psychiatry to address individual needs and treatment plans.
- An understanding of medicine and treatment options related to mental health conditions.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Psychiatric Nurse, with relevant certifications or degrees in Nursing or Psychiatry.
- Empathy, patience, and effective communication skills to support individuals and families in challenging circumstances.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
