Project Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

• Conduct detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labour and other relevant factors
• Analyze project specifications and contractual terms to develop accurate cost projections

Budget Management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with cost estimates and financial objectives
• Monitor projects expenditures, track variances, and implement corrective actions as needed

Quantity Surveying:

• Measure and value the work done on-site, ensuring accurate and timely valuation of project progress.
• Prepare and negotiate variations, claims, and settlement of final accounts(installer)

Project Management:

• Apply project management methodologies to plan, execute, and close construction projects
• Lead a cross-functional projects teams, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables

Contract Administration:

• Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Evaluate and negotiate contract changes. claims and disputes

Shareholder Communication:

• Maintain effective communication channels with project teams, clients, and contractors
• Provide regular updates on project costs, financial performance, and potential risks

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes cost to related management
• Ensure that project costs align with quality standards and clients' expectations.

Requirements:

• HND/BSC in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in a similar role
• Professional Certification in Quantity Surveying or Project Management is an added advantage
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveying with additional experience in Project Management
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Office packages
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in cost-estimating software and project management tools

Remuneration: NGN 200,000
