Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of construction and architectural projects. The successful candidate will manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans, work schedules, and implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate all phases of construction and architectural projects from design through handover.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.


Site & Construction Management:

  • Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and monitor contractor performance.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.


Budget & Cost Control:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs and approve project expenditures within authorized limits.
  • Review contractor valuations, variation orders, and payment certificates.
  • Implement cost-control measures to ensure financial efficiency.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular project updates to management and clients.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare progress reports, and document project decisions.


Quality & Risk Management:

  • Ensure construction quality meets design specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve technical and operational issues affecting project delivery.
  • Ensure timely resolution of defects during project execution.


Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain project documentation, contracts, permits, drawings, and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with local building regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  • Coordinate project close-out, snagging, and final handover documentation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of project management experience within the construction or architectural industry.
  • Professional membership with relevant bodies (e.g., NIA, NSE, CORBON, COREN, PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience managing residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, contracts, and project delivery processes.
  • Strong project planning and coordination skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Budgeting, cost control, and financial management skills.
  • Contract administration and procurement knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Revit, MS Excel, and other project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
