Job summary
The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting in the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP). Ensure Project Control Systems are established for: Schedule, Progress Measurement and Earned Value System, Cost Report and Change Management, and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Maintain project documents, specifications, etc., for all projects in progress.
- Ensure the most up-to-date set is always available.
- Assists in the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP)
- Manage and maintain electronic field drawings and provide links to project details
- Coordinate and supervise Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering, construction, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Review E&I deliverables, drawings, procedures, and technical documents to ensure alignment with project objectives and industry best practices.
- Manage project document changes and ensure a timely response to cost/schedule impacts
- Assist in ordering project materials and rental equipment
- Assist in the creation and submission of project RFI’s and other informational needs
- Complete project submittals based on specifications and scope requirements for the project.
- Assist in the review of weekly field labor timesheets, ensuring correct cost application and project tracking.
- Provide feedback to the team on current processes and systems, and make strategic suggestions to adjust current processes and systems to meet the changing demands of the industry. Continually strive to develop new ways to improve the business.
- Assist with technical spec resolutions as required
- Promote a safety culture and quality delivery in all projects
- Assist the Project / Operation Manager on other duties as assigned and required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BSC
- 5 years of previous experience in a similar role
