GraceBridge Children & Lifeline Health Foundation is seeking a Project & Communications Officer based in Northern Nigeria to support grants, partnerships, community outreach and beneficiary verification. Applicants must be reliable, field-ready and comfortable supporting GraceBridge’s Christian mission and values.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Research suitable local and international grant opportunities and support grant applications.
  • Identify and develop partnerships with NGOs, schools, hospitals, churches, community organisations and other stakeholders.
  • Build strong community networks across Northern Nigeria.
  • Identify potential orphans and vulnerable children who may qualify for GraceBridge support.
  • Conduct and document beneficiary verification in line with GraceBridge procedures.
  • Liaise with community leaders and organisations to obtain credible beneficiary referrals.
  • Take clear photographs and videos during approved outreach and verification activities.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of grants, partnerships, referrals and outreach activities.
  • Complete assigned tasks and meet agreed weekly and monthly KPIs.


Requirements:

  • Must be based in Northern Nigeria with good knowledge of communities within the region.
  • Strong research, communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to research grants and support high-quality funding applications.
  • Confident in building partnerships and communicating with organisations and community stakeholders.
  • Able to identify, document and properly verify potential beneficiaries.
  • Comfortable conducting community outreach and local field visits when required.
  • Able to take clear photographs and videos.
  • A suitable personal laptop and smartphone.
  • A fully stable and reliable internet connection suitable for full-time remote work, virtual meetings, research and uploading files.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and achieve agreed KPIs.
  • Comfortable supporting and representing GraceBridge’s Christian mission and values.
  • Previous experience in NGO/charity work, grants, partnerships, community development, child welfare, humanitarian work or beneficiary verification would be an advantage.
