Job summary
We are looking to hire an experienced Project Architect.

Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Project Development:
- Lead the development of architectural designs from concept through detailed design and construction documentation
- Translate client requirements, project briefs, and design concepts into practical architectural solutions
- Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and other technical drawings
- Review and refine designs to ensure functionality, aesthetics, constructability, and compliance with project requirements
- Research and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, building systems, and design solutions
- Develop design presentations and visual materials for client and internal reviews
Technical Documentation & Quality Control:
- Prepare and review detailed architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documentation
- Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and issued in accordance with project requirements
- Review architectural documentation prepared by junior team members
- Identify and resolve technical inconsistencies, design conflicts, and documentation gaps
- Maintain proper drawing standards, revisions, and document control throughout the project
- Ensure architectural information is sufficiently detailed for construction and implementation
Project Coordination:
- Take responsibility for coordinating architectural activities on assigned projects
- Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, quantity surveying, and other consultants
- Review consultant information and ensure proper integration into architectural designs
- Lead or participate in technical coordination meetings
- Identify potential coordination issues and develop practical solutions
- Monitor design deliverables against project programmes and agreed deadlines
- Escalate significant project risks, delays, or technical issues to senior management
Client Management & Communication:
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Develop a clear understanding of client expectations and project objectives
- Present design proposals and technical solutions in a clear and professional manner
- Incorporate approved client feedback into project designs
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Manage routine client queries and escalate complex matters where appropriate
Site & Construction Support:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor architectural works against approved drawings and specifications
- Review construction progress and identify architectural issues requiring attention
- Respond to contractor requests for information and technical queries
- Review shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and other contractor submissions
- Identify deviations from approved architectural designs and recommend appropriate corrective action
- Prepare or review site inspection reports and technical documentation
- Work with contractors and consultants to resolve design and construction issues
- Track project milestones, submissions, approvals, and outstanding actions
- Coordinate design changes and ensure appropriate documentation of revisions
- Support project budgeting and resource planning from an architectural perspective
- Identify potential project risks and contribute to mitigation strategies
- Ensure assigned projects progress efficiently from design through construction
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture
- Master's degree in architecture is an advantage
- 5–7 years' relevant professional experience in architectural design and project delivery
- Professional registration or relevant architectural certification is an advantage
- Proven experience taking responsibility for architectural projects or significant project packages
- Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction documentation, and project coordination
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant architectural software
- Strong working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, 3D modelling, and rendering software is an advantage
- Good understanding of building regulations, planning requirements, construction standards, and building systems
- Demonstrated experience coordinating consultants and contractors
- Strong client communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Location: Victoria Island
Remuneration: NGN 1Million Monthly
