Programme Execution & Executive Support Manager
Job descriptions & requirements
Role Purpose
This role sits at the centre of execution for the NCTG Industrial Transformation Programme, working directly with the Programme Lead/Special Adviser to drive coordination, structure priorities, and ensure consistent delivery across multiple workstreams.
This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role for someone who can operate with clarity, take ownership without waiting for direction, and ensure that decisions translate into execution.
If you are someone who naturally brings order to complexity, follows through relentlessly, and is comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-stakes environments, this role is for you.
About the Programme
The National Cotton, Textile and Garment Industrial Transformation Programme (NCTG-ITP) is a federal government initiative focused on rebuilding Nigeria’s textile and apparel value chain, from cotton production to textile manufacturing and garment production, through coordinated industrial, financing, and market interventions.

What You’ll Do
You will support execution across the programme and advisory work by:
- Driving coordination across priorities, workstreams, and engagements to ensure alignment and momentum
- Managing tasks, timelines, and dependencies across the programme, maintaining visibility and ensuring nothing slips
- Preparing high-quality briefs, notes, and materials for decision-making and high-level engagements
- Structuring discussions and inputs into clear outputs, decisions, and next steps
- Coordinating across stakeholders and driving follow-through on actions and commitments
- Identifying bottlenecks and proactively resolving execution challenges to keep workstreams on track
Who This Role Is For
This role is best suited for someone who:
- Has at least 4 years’ experience in fast-paced roles with direct responsibility for driving execution, not just supporting it
- Have experience working closely with senior leadership and understand how to manage priorities, time, and follow-through in high-pressure environments
- Write clearly and think in a structured way, with the ability to translate discussions and ideas into concise, actionable outputs
- Are highly organised and known for reliability and follow-through — when you take on something, it gets done
- Can take ambiguous situations and turn them into clear next steps, without needing constant direction
- Are comfortable holding multiple priorities at once, while maintaining clarity and attention to detail
- Have a natural bias for action and ownership, and are comfortable stepping in to move things forward when needed
- Want to work at the centre of execution, with direct exposure to decision-making and programme delivery
You are likely someone who enjoys being relied on, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and is motivated by seeing things move from idea to execution.
This Role Is NOT For You If:
- You prefer routine, clearly defined tasks
- You need constant direction to move work forward
- You are primarily interested in administrative or scheduling roles
What This Role Offers
- Direct exposure to national-level programme execution
- Hands-on involvement in industrial policy implementation
- Close working access to senior leadership and decision-making processes
- A fast-paced environment that will stretch your thinking and execution ability
