Program Officer
Job summary
The Program Officer is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of our media’s internal programs, original shows, podcasts, recurring content series, and special initiatives. The role ensures that company-owned programs move from concept to execution on schedule and meet quality standards.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Own the end-to-end management of our internal programs and content initiatives.
- Develop annual and quarterly program calendars.
- Ensure programs are launched and executed according to schedule.
- Maintain visibility across all active and upcoming programs.
Program Development:
- Identify new opportunities for original content and programming.
- Develop program concepts in collaboration with leadership and the Creative Lead.
- Conduct research to strengthen program viability and audience relevance.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of future content initiatives.
Guest & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Identify, research, and engage potential guests, speakers, contributors, and collaborators.
- Coordinate outreach, scheduling, and communication with guests.
- Manage relationships with partners involved in program delivery.
- Ensure all guests receive a professional and seamless experience.
Production Coordination:
- Work with Production and Creative teams to ensure readiness for recordings, shoots, and releases.
- Track pre-production, production, and post-production milestones.
- Ensure all required assets and approvals are secured before release.
Monitoring & Quality Control:
- Identify gaps, delays, and operational challenges affecting programs.
- Escalate risks and recommend solutions proactively.
- Conduct post-program reviews and implement improvements.
- Ensure programs maintain consistency and quality standards.
Performance & Growth:
- Monitor audience engagement and program performance.
- Recommend improvements to increase reach and impact.
- Develop systems to track program outcomes and effectiveness.
Key Deliverables:
- Annual program roadmap.
- Quarterly production calendar.
- Guest pipeline database.
- Program status reports.
- Post-program evaluation reports.
- Program performance dashboards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BSC
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Percentage of programs delivered on schedule.
- Number of internal programs successfully executed.
- Guest booking success rate.
- Audience growth across programs.
- Program completion rate.
- Reduction in production delays.
- Stakeholder satisfaction scores.
Remuneration: NGN100,000
