Job descriptions & requirements

Company Description: Whisper To Humanity is a movement-driven collective of young people committed to promoting social progress from a feminist lens, through education and playful learning. We develop innovative projects that create a safe and equal society for everyone to thrive, starting from the learning spaces. With an active network of young feminists and education advocates across eight African nations, including Nigeria. The collective is led and managed by marginalized young people who create innovative, community-centred tools for a safer and more equal society. The collective works to address inequality through knowledge building, capacity development, and reimagining education, while supporting young women and girls to unlearn harmful norms in patriarchal systems. Team members join a mission-driven community committed to empowerment, solidarity, and social justice.

Role Description: The Program Intern will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Transformative Education Project at Whisper To Humanity. This is a hybrid internship role based in Owerri Municipal with remote components, where the intern will assist with organizing workshops, trainings, and community outreach activities. Daily responsibilities include supporting program logistics, maintaining participant records, and contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects. Grounded in feminist movement principles, the intern will contribute to intersectional advocacy and youth-led radical solidarity, supporting the decolonization of educational narratives to dismantle systemic inequalities. The intern will help facilitate sessions, prepare learning materials, and provide support to program participants, particularly young women and girls. The role involves collaborating with team members on advocacy campaigns, assisting with communication to partners and beneficiaries, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth program delivery.
