The Programmes & Business Development Manager (Lagos) is a senior, revenue-focused role responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, developing partnerships, and coordinating the successful execution of ESQ Trainings Limited’s programmes in Lagos and the South-West region.

  • The role combines business development, relationship management, programme coordination, and cross-team collaboration, with clear accountability for revenue generation, pipeline growth, and programme delivery excellence.


. Key Responsibilities

A. Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Drive revenue through delegate registrations, Local and International In-Pant corporate Master Classes, bookings, partnerships, sponsorships, and institutional engagements.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across corporates, law firms, MDAs, regulators, professional bodies, and development institutions.
  • Build and manage a strong, trackable sales pipeline.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and partnership documents.


B. Programmes Planning & Execution

  • Coordinate and support the end-to-end delivery of Lagos-based trainings, masterclasses, conferences, and in-plant programmes.
  • Manage delegate engagement, confirmations, and communication.
  • Coordinate venues, faculty logistics, and programme requirements in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Ensure programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to ESQ’s quality standards.


C. Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for Lagos-based clients and institutional partners.
  • Conduct meetings, courtesy visits, and follow-ups to strengthen trust and repeat business.


D. Partnerships & Sponsorships

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with organisations, associations, and institutions.
  • Secure sponsorships for trainings, conferences, and special programmes.
  • Support MoU discussions and long-term collaboration frameworks.


E. Collaboration with Marketing & Digital Teams

  • Work closely with the Marketing and Social Media teams to support campaigns, lead conversion, and programme visibility.
  • Supply timely content (photos, videos, insights, success stories) from Lagos activities.
  • Ensure consistency between BD messaging and marketing communications.


F. Market Intelligence & Strategy Support

  • Provide market intelligence on client needs, sector trends, and competitor activity.
  • Recommend new training ideas and programme opportunities based on Lagos market demand.
  • Support management with insights for strategic planning and product development.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in business development, programmes management, consulting, training, or professional services
  • Proven experience in revenue generation, client engagement, and partnership development
  • Experience working with corporates, institutions, or public-sector organisations is an advantage
