Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain a 20-tonne trailer truck.
- Transport and deliver goods to designated locations within and outside Port Harcourt as required.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after every trip.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and proper handling of cargo.
- Comply with traffic regulations, road safety standards, and company policies.
- Report vehicle faults, accidents, and other incidents promptly.
- Maintain accurate trip records, delivery notes, and other required documentation.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
Requirements:
- Must have proven experience driving a 20-tonne trailer truck.
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant driving experience is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's licence and the appropriate heavy-duty vehicle endorsements.
- Must have a valid certificate of professional competence or other required driving certifications, where applicable.
- Good knowledge of road safety rules and Port Harcourt routes.
- Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections and identify mechanical faults.
- Must be disciplined, punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
- Must be physically fit for the demands of the role.
