Responsibilities:
- Safe Operations: Operate company vehicles safely and defensively in varying weather and traffic conditions.
- Navigation: Plan and optimize driving routes using GPS apps to avoid traffic and ensure timely arrivals.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, manage fuel levels, and arrange for necessary repairs or servicing.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when assisting passengers with luggage or delivering packages.
- Record Keeping: Log mileage, fuel consumption, delivery receipts, and trip details accurately.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to local traffic regulations, parking rules, and corporate transport policies.
Requirements:
- Licenses & Records: Valid driver’s license appropriate for the specific vehicle (e.g., commercial or non-commercial) and a clean driving record free of major violations or accidents.
- Experience: Typically 1 to 5 years of proven experience in corporate, executive, or commercial driving.
- Local Geography: Strong knowledge of the local road networks and traffic patterns (e.g., specific Lagos regions like Victoria Island, Lekki, and Mainland routes).
- Physical Fitness: Stamina to sit for extended periods and the ability to lift/unload cargo or luggage.
