Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee incoming inventory, direct stock intake and storage, monitor stock levels, and conduct routine inventory audits to prevent shrinkage and stockouts.
- Ensure products are displayed according to visual merchandising guidelines, maintaining clear pricing, clean shelves, and appealing arrangements.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff on product features, handling techniques, customer service standards, and safety procedures.
- Inspect product quality and expiration dates regularly, ensuring damaged or expired goods are handled according to company protocol.
- Monitor product sales performance, track fast-moving and slow-moving items, and recommend promotional strategies or restocking adjustments.
- Coordinate with suppliers, distributors, or warehouse personnel to ensure timely product deliveries and resolve shipment discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of BSC.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Google/Excel sheets.
- Knowledge of garment construction, corsetry and luxury finishing.
- Ability to manage tailors in the organisation.
