Detopsy Engineering Limited is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and analytically driven Procurement Specialist to lead our end-to-end technical sourcing and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:
Technical Sourcing & Vendor Selection:
- Manufacturer Alignment: Source specialized electrical parts, instrumentation, and metering equipment from accredited OEMs.
- Vendor Onboarding: Evaluate global and local engineering suppliers to maintain high quality and minimize long lead times.
- Compliance Checks: Verify that all incoming equipment complies with strict local safety and technical engineering standards.
Contract
Negotiation & Cost Optimization:
- Price Benchmarking: Negotiate competitive, cost-effective deals with international material suppliers and logistics providers.
- Contract Management: Draft commercial agreements, payment schedules, and warranties to align with project budgets.
- Logistics Oversight: Direct the clearing, clearing-forwarding, and final delivery of materials to project locations on time.
Supply Chain &
Inventory Operations:
- PO Execution: Draft, issue, and manage high-volume Purchase Orders (POs) through internal tracking systems.
- Project Alignment: Sync with internal engineering teams to track material demands and avoid project delays.
- Risk Management: Monitor supplier supply routes to prevent shortages of vital mechanical and electrical parts.
Requirements:
- Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a matching field.
- Proven Track Record: 3 to 5+ years of strategic procurement experience explicitly within the Nigerian Oil & Gas, Power, or Marine sectors.
- Value Sourcing Knowledge: Prior experience sourcing specialized items like industrial valves, metering units, and automation equipment is preferred.
- System Familiarity: Expert command of supply chain management software and advanced Microsoft Excel tools.
- Process Mastery: Full understanding of the complete technical Procure-to-Pay (P2P) pipeline and international logistics procedures.
- Industry Frameworks: Deep familiarity with standard NipeX operations and local content regulations in Nigeria.
- Tough Negotiation: Proven history of securing great commercial terms with premium global parts distributors.
- Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills required to collaborate with technical project teams and vendors.
