Procurement Officer
Job summary
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of goods and services needed by an organization in a cost-effective, timely, and compliant manner.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Request and evaluate vendor quotations for both operational and project needs.
- Prepare comparative bid analysis and recommend cost-effective and technically suitable options.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate approval workflows and ensure timely issuance of POs.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and internal controls.
- Support audit activities by providing required procurement documentation.
- Liaise with vendors, inventory, and finance teams for delivery tracking and invoice processing.
- Maintain accurate procurement records.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Experience in import/export procurement operations is an advantage
- SAP MM proficiency
