Job summary
We are seeking a responsible and accountable Procurement Officer in our prestigious company, who will source and procure construction materials, plant equipment tools, machinery, and subcontractor services.

Responsibilities:
- Source and procure construction materials, plant equipment, tools, machinery, and subcontractor services.
- Obtain competitive quotations from approved vendors and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and reliability.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and approval processes.
- Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and strategic sourcing.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and the Store Team to understand procurement requirements.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including delayed deliveries, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and periodic performance reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in procurement within a construction or engineering company.
- Demonstrable knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supplier networks in Nigeria.
- Experience handling procurement for multiple construction projects simultaneously.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience using ERP or procurement management software is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
