Procurement And Logistics lead

Responsibilities:

• Purchase all fabrics, trims, accessories and packaging required for production.
• Source and maintain reliable suppliers, and negotiate pricing, quality and delivery terms.
• Obtain approval from Management for every purchase prior to commitment, and compare quotations before recommending a supplier.
• Maintain complete records of all purchases, including quotations, invoices, receipts and delivery notes.
• Inspect incoming materials against the order placed and report shortages, damage or incorrect items to the supplier without delay.
• Ensure all materials required for a production run are received and available before production is scheduled to commence.
• Maintain accurate stock records for fabrics, trims, packaging and finished garments.
• Issue materials to production in line with the cut plan provided by the Production Manager and account for quantities issued, used and remaining.
• Conduct regular stock counts, record results, and account to Management for any discrepancy.
• Manage the packaging and dispatch of completed orders to customers.
• Liaise with couriers and delivery partners, track each consignment through to confirmed arrival, and resolve delays, damage or losses.
• Report to Management on stock levels, price movements, supplier performance and materials running low.

Requirements:

• Experience in procurement, purchasing or stock control, ideally within fashion, textiles or manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of fabrics and trims, and the ability to assess quality on delivery.
• Strong negotiation skills and an established or demonstrable approach to sourcing suppliers.
• Meticulous record-keeping, with the ability to account for every item of stock and every naira spent.
• Experience coordinating deliveries and managing courier or logistics partners.
• Complete transparency and integrity in handling Company funds and stock, and willingness to be held accountable for both.
• Competence with basic spreadsheets or inventory records.
