Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons across various subjects (e.g., language arts, mathematics, science, social studies) in accordance with the curriculum guidelines.
- Differentiating instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
- Assessing student progress through various methods (tests, quizzes, projects, observations) and using assessment data to adjust teaching strategies and provide targeted support.
- Identifying and addressing individual learning needs by providing additional support or challenges as required.
- Collaborating with fellow teachers, school staff, and administrators to share best practices, resources, and ideas.
- Maintaining open and effective communication with parents or guardians, providing updates on students' academic progress, behavior, and participation.
Requirements:
- NCE, Diploma, HND or Bachelor Degree in relevant field of study
- Previous experience teaching at the primary school level is preferred.
- Experience in developing and implementing curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and child development.
- Knowledge of educational best practices and instructional strategies.
- Familiarity with assessment methods and student progress tracking.
