Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Poultry Farm Manager based in Ibadan, Nigeria. The Poultry Farm Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily farm operations, including the management of poultry health, feeding, and egg production. The role includes supervising farm staff, maintaining compliance with animal health and welfare standards, monitoring biosecurity measures, managing inventories and budgeting, and ensuring operational efficiency. The manager will play a critical role in achieving production targets and driving operational growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry management, livestock breeding, and animal husbandry
• Knowledge of biosecurity measures, animal welfare standards, and poultry healthcare practices
• Skills in supervising and training farm staff to ensure productivity and adherence to protocols
• Expertise in farm operations such as feed management, equipment maintenance, and record-keeping
• Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively in an on-site agricultural setting
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related discipline is preferred
• Prior experience in commercial-scale poultry farming is highly advantageous
