Poultry Farm Attendant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare poultry pens and brooding areas before chick arrival.
• Feed birds according to the farm's feeding programme.
• Ensure birds have continuous access to clean water.
• Monitor bird health and report any signs of illness or unusual behaviour.
• Record daily mortality, feed usage, and other farm records accurately.
• Maintain clean, dry litter and good pen hygiene.
• Monitor temperature, ventilation, and overall flock comfort.
• Assist with bird weighing, stock counts, and routine farm inspections.
• Support harvest activities and post-harvest pen cleanout.
• Follow all farm biosecurity and operational procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of practical poultry farming experience.
• Previous experience caring for broiler chickens is strongly preferred.
• Ability to maintain basic written records and reports.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Physically fit and able to perform farm duties daily.
• Must provide at least one verifiable employment reference.
