Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
- Manage and monitor assigned investment, loan, or client portfolios.
- Review portfolio performance regularly and identify areas requiring attention or rebalancing.
- Ensure the portfolio consistently aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives and risk appetite.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and monitor financial, credit, market, and operational risks.
- Ensure overall portfolio exposure remains strictly within approved risk limits.
- Formulate and execute corrective actions when risk triggers or potential losses are identified.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial statements, market trends, macroeconomic conditions, and raw portfolio data.
- Evaluate the performance, viability, and financial health of portfolio accounts and investments.
- Prepare comprehensive financial models, performance analyses, and forecasting reports.
Client & Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with high-value clients, institutional investors, borrowers, or corporate accounts.
- Understand evolving financial needs and proactively recommend tailored products or solutions.
- Handle complex client concerns promptly to ensure retention and high service delivery standards.
Investment Decisions (Asset/Investment Management):
- Research investment opportunities and determine optimal asset allocation strategies.
- Buy, sell, or rebalance portfolio holdings based on approved strategies and policy limits.
- Track and benchmark returns against agreed market indices and performance targets.
Loan & Credit Portfolio Management (Banking):
- Monitor loan accounts, repayment timelines, and credit facility utilization.
- Track overdue payments, default indicators, and Non-Performing Loan (NPL) accounts.
- Review borrower financial health and collaborate with risk/credit teams on restructuring, recovery, or remedial actions.
Insurance Portfolio Management:
- Monitor assigned portfolios of insurance policies and accounts.
- Analyze premium income, claims ratios, renewal rates, and overall account profitability.
- Review risk exposure to ensure sound underwriting decisions in coordination with actuarial and claims teams.
Reporting & Executive Presentations
- Prepare regular, data-driven portfolio performance reports for executive leadership.
- Track key operational and financial metrics, presenting actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure all portfolio activities strictly comply with internal policies, legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain precise documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum of a BSC qualification
- 4 years of previous experience in a similar role
