Planning and Design Officer

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and planning FTTH networks, including fiber routes, distribution points and equipment placement
• Develop detailed network plans and layouts with senior planners and engineers, using field data and technical specifications
• Conduct feasibility studies and perform route and capacity planning for scalability and efficiency
• Draft fiber network layouts using AutoCAD, GIS, Visio or similar tools
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for project costing
• Validate, monitor and resolve relocation and installation tickets assigned to Planning and Design on Bitrix
• Coordinate with field teams to ensure compliance with project timelines and technical standards
• Contribute ideas to optimize network performance and reduce costs
• Maintain accurate design documentation and submit timely reports.

Requirements:

• HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or a related field
• 2-3 years’ experience in FTTH network planning, telecommunications or a related field
• Knowledge of FTTH technologies (GPON, EPON, PON) and components (cables, splitters, OLTs, ONTs)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, Visio, or similar planning tools
• Network planning and expansion familiarity
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
• Problem-solving, with or without supervision
• Timely reporting
