Pipeline/Corrosion Engineer
Job summary
The Pipeline/Corrosion Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting pipeline engineering, corrosion management, and integrity assurance activities for oil and gas projects across the Conceptual, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering Design, and Brownfield phases.

Responsibilities:
- Lead pipeline and corrosion engineering design activities for oil & gas projects.
- Prepare and review: Pipeline design calculations, Material selection reports, Technical specifications, Material requisitions, Corrosion assessments, Technical bid evaluations
- Design/review: Onshore and offshore pipelines, Flowlines, Gathering systems, Pipeline crossings, Cathodic protection systems, Corrosion monitoring systems, Pipeline coatings and linings, Pipeline integrity solutions
- Perform pipeline stress analysis and support pipeline routing and layout development.
- Develop corrosion control philosophies and integrity management strategies.
Requirements:
- B.Eng/B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of oil & gas engineering design experience.
- Strong experience in Pipeline Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, FEED, and Detailed Engineering Design.
- Experience in EPC/EPCM projects.
- Good knowledge of: ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API, NACE/AMPP, ISO, DNV standards
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as: AutoCAD, CAESAR II, Pipeline Studio (added advantage), DNV Synergi Pipeline Simulator (added advantage), MS Office
- COREN registration is an added advantage.
Key Activities:
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, design reviews, and technical audits.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, civil/structural, instrumentation, and electrical engineering teams.
- Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Conduct corrosion risk assessments, failure investigations, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
- Support pipeline inspection, integrity assessments, and maintenance planning.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
