SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Pipeline & Cable Design Engineer to join its work force in Nigeria.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Pipeline Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, and technical monitoring of onshore pipelines, from the Detailed Engineering through construction and commissioning.
He/She ensure the technical, regulatory, and HSE compliance of the infrastructure, while respecting project deadlines, budgets, and requirements.
ACTIVITIES:
Engineering
Supervise pipeline studies (layout, sizing, material selection, corrosion protection...).
Verify technical deliverables (design philosophies, calculation notes, technical specifications, MTO / datasheets, …).
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, DNV, ISO, local standards…).
Interfaces & coordination
Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines (Civil engineering, Process engineering, Instrumentation, Construction).
Participate in technical reviews and coordination meetings.
Anticipate operational interfaces (clashes, scheduling conflicts) before and during the construction phase.
Construction
Providing technical support during (manufacturing, transport, welding, installation, testing (hydrotest), commissioning...)
Respond to technical clarifications and manage technical deviations.
Participate in site inspections and technical audits.
Change management
Analyze the technical impacts of the modifications (Method of Concept).
Propose optimized and documented solutions.
Contribute to the technical and economic justification of the changes.
Prevent change orders and delays related to technical matters

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Professional Experience (number of years) : 10
Experience within project execution: (number of years) : 10
Oil and gas pipeline design
Good knowledge of pipeline international standards
Corrosion, coatings, isolation
Transversal and multi-cultural communication
