Job summary

We are seeking a creative, organized, and customer-oriented Photo Studio Assistant to support the daily operations of our photography studio. The ideal candidate will assist photographers during photo sessions.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the studio, lighting equipment, backdrops, and props before photo sessions.
  • Assist photographers during portrait, wedding, commercial, family, passport, and event photography sessions.
  • Set up, adjust, and pack away cameras, lighting, tripods, and other studio equipment.
  • Ensure all studio equipment is handled carefully and stored properly after use.
  • Welcome clients and provide a professional and friendly experience.
  • Schedule appointments and manage studio bookings.
  • Assist clients with posing guidance and preparation during photo sessions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, social media, and walk-in visits.
  • Process payments and issue receipts where required.
  • Assist with basic photo editing, retouching, resizing, and image enhancement using editing software.
  • Organize, label, and back up digital photo files.
  • Prepare images for printing, digital delivery, and online sharing.
  • Ensure client photographs are stored securely and confidentially.
  • Maintain inventory of studio supplies, props, and photography accessories.
  • Keep the studio clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Assist with printing photographs, photo albums, canvases, and other photo products.
  • Support marketing activities by creating behind-the-scenes content for social media.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and studio accessories.
  • Report damaged or faulty equipment promptly.
  • Ensure batteries are charged and equipment is ready for scheduled sessions.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of SSCE, OND, or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a photography studio, creative agency, or customer service role is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of photography equipment and studio operations.
  • Familiarity with photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Canva is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
