Performance Manual Tester
Job descriptions & requirements
- Design and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing
- Develop and maintain performance testing scripts and scenarios
- Analyze system bottlenecks and recommend improvements
- Monitor system performance metrics and application response times
- Collaborating with Developers, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams
- Support nonfunctional testing and release readiness activities
- Produce performance reports and test result documentation
- Ensure applications meet enterprise performance benchmarks and SLAs
- Demonstrated experience working in enterprise scale digital, IT, or technology environments
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery (Scrum / Kanban), and cross functional
collaboration
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to work under defined timelines and changing priorities
- Familiarity with testing tools, monitoring tools, and enterprise systems
- Understanding of scalability, reliability, and performance optimization concepts
- Familiarity with deployment environments and enterprise integrations
- Ability to follow testing and reporting standards
- Experience designing and executing performance test cases and scenarios
- Understanding of defect tracking, root cause analysis, and quality improvement practices
- Experience validating systems against non-functional requirements
- Ability to produce performance test reports and testing artefacts
- Experience working within testing governance and release management processes
- Strong discipline in documentation and reporting
- Awareness of secure testing and operational practices
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and auditability requirements
- Ability to support multiple testing initiatives and delivery cycles
- Ability to quickly understand new applications and business domains
- Understanding of scalability, security, reliability, and performance considerations
- Ability to follow coding and documentation standards
Qualifications & Experience Required
- 7–15+ years of relevant professional experience depending on role level (Intermediate,
Specialist, or Consultant).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Systems, Design, Business, or equivalent).
- Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Must have completed NYSC
- Demonstrated experience working in enterprise scale digital, IT, or technology environments
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery (Scrum / Kanban), and cross functional
collaboration
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
