About the Role PPC Limited is recruiting a Payroll Officer to manage the accurate and timely processing of salaries, bonuses, and statutory deductions. Serving as the primary link between HR and Finance, this role ensures strict compliance with tax regulations, labor laws, and internal controls while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing & Coordination: Process monthly payroll for full-time, part-time, and contract staff; reconcile attendance, overtime, and leave records; and distribute payslips.
• Statutory Remittances & Tax Compliance: Calculate and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF) to relevant government bodies; assist in annual tax filings and monitor updates in labor and tax laws.
• Record Management & HRIS: Maintain updated payroll records, salary data, and deduction schedules in payroll/HRIS software; coordinate with HR on new hires, exits, promotions, and salary adjustments.
• Audit, Reporting & Query Resolution: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for Finance/Management, reconcile general ledger inputs, support internal/external audits, and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
  

Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2–4 years of hands-on payroll processing experience using payroll software. Demonstrated experience handling statutory remittances (PAYE, pension, NHF) and reconciling payroll with general ledger records.
Preferred Qualifications Professional certification in HR, accounting, or payroll management (CIPM, ICAN, ACCA, or SHRM).
