Our Pattern Maker is responsible for the creation of master patterns and graded patterns, which would serve as templates used for the production of garments. You help bring creative ideas to life
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Meet with the product designer to discuss the design.
- Create mood boards and Tech packs for designs
- Generate patterns based on designs/customer specifications
- Interpreting designs and details
- Meet with designers to review the final product.
- Take individual customer measurements
- Attend fit sessions to ensure any observed changes are recorded and executed.
- Manage the production approvals process, ensuring manufacturing follows the pattern, and monitor any changes to it closely.
- Resolve fit and quality issues.
- Providing sewing instructions to the tailor(s).
- Staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in pattern marking
- Determine pattern specifications.
- Providing accurate yield estimates for patterns.
- Operate CAD software and other software used to create and edit patterns
- Train less experienced patternmakers in all aspects of patternmaking
- Carries out pattern grading, which involves producing scaled-up or scaled-down versions, enabling the garment to be reproduced in different sizes
- Support new product designs
Requirements:
- Minimum of an OND in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or related discipline
- At least 2 years industry experience in similar role
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design models.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to work to a deadline.
- Physically fit and able to work for long periods.
- Proficient with computer drafting software including CAD.
- Ability to use pattern maker making equipment and machinery.
- Ability to create error-free and accurate patterns in accordance to specifications

Location: Lagos would be the primary job location. Might be required to travel and work overtime and on weekends.
