- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, desserts, and other confectionery items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Decorate and present desserts attractively for display or service.
- Develop new recipes and dessert ideas to enhance the menu.
- Ensure the use of high-quality ingredients and proper portion control.
- Operate and maintain baking and kitchen equipment safely.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and request replenishments as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen or pastry staff.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen teams to plan dessert menus and special orders.
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Pastry Arts.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.
- Expertise in baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation.
- Creativity and artistic ability for decorating and designing desserts.
- Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to supervise and train junior staff effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory management and ingredient handling.
