Outdoor Marketing Intern
Job descriptions & requirements
๐ข Pikkah is hiring ยท Lagos-based Outdoor Marketing Intern
6-month paid internship ยท Full-time ยท Lagos ยท Reports to Outdoor Marketing Lead
We're building Pikkah โ the trusted way to ship across borders for the African diaspora. Launching June 2026, Lagos โ London first. We need someone with Lagos in their feet โ who knows the airport schedule, the church calendar, which gym is full on Saturday morning, and which barber shop in Surulere has the queue worth handing a flyer to.
You'll be our ground game in Lagos. You'll go where the WhatsApp groups don't reach โ physical Lagos, where shoppers and travellers actually live, eat, pray, and move.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run weekly activations across MMA airport, churches (RCCG, Daystar, MFM, Watchman), markets, gyms, salons, and diaspora hangout spots
- Build a database of hometown associations, alumni networks, and church groups that move people between Lagos and London
- Distribute branded materials and seed conversations โ face-to-face, the old-school way
- Document EVERYTHING with photo and video โ your phone is your second-most-important tool (after your feet)
- Hand off footage daily to the content team so your activations live a second life on @usepikkah
- Build partnerships with local merchants, gym owners, and community leaders willing to host Pikkah touchpoints
- Report KPIs every Monday. Own them.
KPIs YOU'LL BE MEASURED ON
- Activations executed per week โ minimum 3
- Verified community touchpoints established per month (churches, gyms, hometown associations)
- Signups attributed to your activations (we'll give you a tracking link)
- Photo and video assets delivered to the content team weekly
- Community partner pipeline โ names, contacts, signed agreements
YOU SHOULD APPLY IF
- You live in Lagos and you actually move through it โ Yaba to Lekki to Ikeja, no Uber dependency
- You can walk into a church office, a gym manager's desk, or a barber's shop and start a conversation that ends in a yes
- You document well โ you understand that an activation no one filmed didn't happen
- You're a current student, NYSC corps member, or recent grad ready to grind for six months and walk away with a portfolio
- You see the long game โ this is a build-in-public role, your work becomes our story
DO NOT APPLY IF
- You're remote-only or based outside Lagos
- You're uncomfortable approaching strangers in public spaces
- You don't film your own work
- Weekly accountability feels like pressure rather than fuel
